Access to Counselling In Burnham On Sea

In a not so distant past, you would have only been able to have therapy sat down, face to face with your counsellor. Now, there are multiple ways you can access therapy, some with dual benefits.

You can find out more below, on how each session style works and who it may be best for.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself as I am, then I can change”

Which Would You Choose?

  • The traditional form of therapy and a great way to build a strong therapuetic relationship with your counsellor. These Sesions last 50 minutes. Being in one space allows us to work creatively and is good for working with young people (plenty of space for crafts and games). This type of therapy offers consistency and less distraction.

  • If you work in the corporate world, you might be sick of agile working, so this might not be the one for you. Equally, this does offer the working family greater flexibility and less travel.

It is important that you sit somewhere that you will not be disturbed or overheard. This is a 50 minute session.

A good choice for older Teens and young Adults.

  • Telephone offers the same benefits as zoom and can come with similar difficulties around privacy. This is a good option if you are not going to make it to your face to face session and need to adapt instead of missing your session. It is also poular for those who are not digitally inclined.

    Also a 50 minut session.

  • One of my favourite forms of therapy. Walking therapy is a type of nature based therapy which combines the benfits of physical therapy with the therapuetic process. This aims to reduce stress and anxiety and actively speeds up the cognitive processing as you walk. This enables the client to make quicker connections and problem solve.

This session is 60 minutes in length.

I am unable to offer this to Children and Young People currently.
